Can web pages get a WriteMark?
Can web pages get a WriteMark?

Yes, web pages can be assessed and awarded a WriteMark.

When you display the WriteMark on your site, you show that you are committed to making information on your website as clear as possible.

If your web page meets the WriteMark plain English standard, we’ll send you all you need to be able to display the WriteMark on your web page.

Because websites contain many pages that change frequently, we cannot award a WriteMark to an entire website.

We suggest that you WriteMark some of your most important pages, for example, home page, frequently asked questions, terms and conditions. Assessment fees are based on the page word count.

We will check that the links in the text are:

  • active
  • relevant to the page.

Please note that we do not test overall website usability.
